It's about Rodney, a homeless vet who cannot get the help he needs from the VA Hospital because he does not have a permanent address. It's about Richard, who discovers that the only thing worse than being homeless is being homeless without a phone; and it's about Eunice, whose husband's suicide left her with enough life insurance to have a good life when he could no longer provide but Eunice refuses to use that money, preferring to be homeless instead (because, as she tells a shop owner who refuses her service, "my head is not crazy my heart is!).

One of his fans is The Republique Du Banane's version of Superman -- a secretive homeless (or home free as he calls it) nobody who transforms temporarily into BIG BIZNESS, a superhero with a giant bulletproof penis that can even propel him to fly. Big Bizness' powers only last 15 minutes at a time and can only happen if he sexually assaults someone, which complicates his hero status. At first, BigBizness admires and respects The Cannibal Assassin's vigilante ways, but soon he learns that the Cannibal Assassin is actually just as corrupt as the criminals he consumes. Hilarity and dilemma ensues.
