Alabama

Offers incentives on the first $20M of qualifying product expenditures. Local residents earn a 30% tax incentive, and local veterans get an additional 5%. All non-residents earn 25%.

Kentucky

Feature films receive a 30% tax credit, and short films with a budget of at least $50,000 are also eligible. An additional 15% credit will be added for the hiring of local individuals from economically disadvantaged areas.

California

Offers a tax credit program for film and television productions, which ranges from 20% to 25% of qualified expenditures.

Georgia

Offers a 20% tax credit for companies that spend $500,000 or more on production and post-production in Georgia.

Illinois

Offers a tax credit program for film and television productions, which ranges from 30% to 35% of qualified expenditures.

Louisiana

Offers a tax credit program for film and television productions, which ranges from 25% to 40% of qualified expenditures.

Massachusetts

Offers a tax credit program for film and television productions, which ranges from 25% to 30% of qualified expenditures.

Mississippi

Currently has no film tax incentive program in place.

New Mexico

Offers a tax credit program for film and television productions, which ranges from 25% to 35% of qualified expenditures.

New York

Offers a tax credit program for film and television productions, which ranges from 25% to 30% of qualified expenditures.
